My Kingdom for a PC!!

Age of Empires was good, Age of Empires II: Age of Kings was better, Age of Empires Gold, including the Conquerors expansion is unanimously recognised as the cream of the crop. With the gold edition you've got access to almost 20 different civilisations each with their own special buildings and units and special balancing reflecting the civilisations themselves. You'll be mining resources, taking care of diplomacy and conquering the masses, following the path to being call "My Lord"

Review

The gold edition of Age of empires II not only gives you the 13 civilisations from the original game (the Francs, the Vikings, the Celts, the Turks...) but also 5 new civilizations from further a field: the Huns, the Aztecs, the Mayans... Each of these civilizations (new and old) have their own strong points and weaknesses economically and for their military. These are in the form of balance specific for certain civilisations (e.g. the Turks can research gunpowder cheaper than any other civilization) and units specific to each civilization (samurais for the Japanese).
The main interest of the game is to work your way up the expansive technology tree to get up the 4 main "age", which give you not only major technological advances but massive economical improvements, giving you a foot up on the opposition.
The economical aspect of the game is fundamental to winning, as is the proper management of trade routes, espionage and the backstabbing that was even more abundant then than it is now.
Whether you decide to play the different campaigns available to you all based on historical military campaigns (Joan of Arc, Genghis Kahn, Attila the Hun, Montezuma...), or you prefer to take one specific civilization from birth to attack against a traditional opponent, Age of Empires 2 is the perfect addition to any strategy fan's collection.

More people have been play this games and give a great review as this game is absolutely fantastic must be play for everyone!!!.

Some things will never change...
Fallout Tactics
follows a squad in the fictional Brotherhood of Steel as it becomes engaged in a desperate war. Although the game takes place in the Fallout universe, it does not follow or continue the story of either Fallout or Fallout 2 (also available on our site). Due to contradictions with the story and setting of those games, original Fallout creators and the creators of Fallout 3 consider Fallout Tactics non-canon (or not in line with the universe they created). Also, if you want to do a bit of catch up on the story, please do, as we've got Fallout and Fallout 2 waiting for you!

Review

Fallout Tactics: Brotherhood of Steel is a squad-based tactical RPG, using both turn-based and real-time mechanics. As part of a split faction of the Brotherhood of Steel, the player controls a team that attempts to grow and expand across Fallout's barren wastelands by recruiting outsiders to embark on combat-heavy missions. Though vastly different from other Fallout titles, Fallout Tactics still is a very enjoyable title that completes the 'original' Fallout trilogy. And, you'll get to kick the ass of a lot of Deathclaws!

You are the wretched refuse. You may be born from dirt, but we will forge you into steel. You will learn to bend; if not you, will you break. In these dark times, the Brotherhood - your Brotherhood - is all that stands between the rekindled flame of civilization and the howling, radiated wasteland.
Your weapons will become more than your tools, they will become your friends. You will use your skills to inspire the lowly and protect the weak... whether they like it or not. Your squadmates will be more dear to you than your kin and for those that survive there will be honor, respect and the spoils of war.

Welcome to the glowing wasteland!

Possibly the best turn based game ever made Civilisations come to life like never before in this beautifully detailed, living 3D world that elevates the Civilization gameplay experience to a whole new level. Heralded as the best turn based strategy ever made, Cililization IV is far more than just an upgrade on the series and a winner of so many game of the year awards it's just one that you should play.

Civilization, if you don't know what it is (first of all start downloading it), it's a series of strategy games made by a chap called Sid Meier (the god of all that is strategy). They've all been excellent and Civilization IV is by far the cream of the crop.
First thing that you'll notice when you start the game is that it's now in 3D. It's not something the Civilization ever needed in the past, but zooming in and out and rotating the camera makes it all modern. Once you actually get clicking to build one of the 18 civilizations up from the stone age to conquering the world, you'll notice that the gameplay is more streamlined and the interface much easier to use and intuitive than the previous titles in the series. This doesn't mean that there's less strategy, they've just got rid of what you didn't need (e.g. unit attack and defence points have been merged).
In fact there's even more strategic choices; the tech trees are more flexible so you can develop your Civs along spectacularly unique political paths; each unit can have it's own improvements and enhancements turning a simple unit into one that you will really want to protect for that special occasion.
All this strategy means that the hardened Civ master will be able to get right in there and start conquering the world, and thanks to a great tutorial that'll teach you all the bits and pieces even a beginner can get right on in.
Of course Civ IV has multiplayer, and you'll be pleased to know that you can speed up the match to knock a game back in a couple of hours with a mate online, and you'll be happy for that mate as you can team up in co-operative online.
You really shouldn't need to have read this far down the page, it's an excellent game, just download it and be happy.
